The Oxfordshire MSK Service is an integrated NHS service commissioned by Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group that provides advice and treatment for people with MSK, chronic pain, MSK Podiatry, and pelvic health related conditions.
We are committed to a multi-professional workforce based on competency and welcome applications either Physiotherapists or Osteopaths. If you’re able to manage a varied caseload of MSK patients, committed to CPD and have the desire to develop yourself and the service, with a keen eye on improving patient care, then we’d like to hear from you.
We are dedicated to delivering the highest level of patient care, in the most efficient and cost-effective way, with re-investment to ensure services are sustainable. We are looking for well-organised MSK Clinicians, to deliver quality clinical care for patients with MSK conditions. Whilst undertaking comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of patients with a wide variety of physical and emotional needs, you must formulate, deliver, review and progress individual treatment programmes and ensure effective treatment, specialist advice and timely discharge are achieved.

What you will do in the role…
An Advanced MSK Clinician is the bread and butter of our organisation and covers all our frontline Musculoskeletal clinicians in the multidisciplinary team from, Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists, Osteopaths and Chiropractors.
The main purpose of the Paediatric Advanced MSK Clinicians is to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to children and young people aged 1-17 with complex MSK health needs. Paediatric Advanced MSK Clinicians are skilled in addressing complex decision-making processes and managing risk in unpredictable contexts. They have completed advanced programs of study and are able to work at an advanced or multi-agency level, influencing clinical service improvement and development. Paediatric Advanced MSK Clinicians apply highly developed skills and knowledge to initiate and influence clinical service improvement and development, plus professional and workforce development to improve outcomes for patients and ensure efficient use of resources.
You’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop as part of our multidisciplinary workforce, enabling you to deliver high quality patient outcomes as part of a team and business with a track record of excellence. In this role you’ll have dedicated admin time to help you manage a varied and often challenging MSK caseload of patience in a variety of clinical scenarios.

- Previous experience in delivering MSK services with tangible results.
- Appropriate professional registration in line with your professional discipline (HCPC, GOsC etc)
- A keen and enthusiastic clinician with a commitment to providing excellent, personalised care.
- An understanding of the impact of MSK pain in the wider community and how collaborative working across the local system enables prevention and addresses health inequalities
- Ability to work as an autonomous practitioner, within your scope of practice
- Passion for delivering a quality clinical service meeting the clinical and operational needs of the MSK service
- Stakeholder management skills to develop and foster productive relationships with local groups, charities, GPs, and other potentially productive links.
